What is Ambien?

What Even is Ambien?

💊Ambien, also known as Zolpidem, is a non-benzodiazepine hypnotic (sleep aid) that depresses central nervous system activity📉

💤Ambien is used medically as a sleep aid and is one of the most commonly prescribed sedatives. It is viewed as a safer alternative to benzodiazepines like Xanax. The usual dose is 5-10 mg and can be found in immediate release or extended release forms😴

🥳Recreationally, Ambien is used to produce euphoric effects if the user avoids falling asleep. It may remove self-conscious feelings and insecurities or can also cause hallucinations🌀

⚠️There are risks associated with Ambien use, such as sleep pattern disturbances. Also, there is a high chance for dependence or addiction when taken at higher doses or consistently for long periods of time. Risk of an overdose is higher when combined with alcohol or other drugs🙅

☠️A dose of 70 mg can cause dangerous problems in the body. 400-600 mg can lead to an overdose with permanent side effects or death. Chewing, snorting, or injecting Ambien are much more dangerous methods because it enters the bloodstream faster💉

🧐Ambien works by activating inhibitory pathways in the brain. Since this is similar to how alcohol, Xanax, and other depressants act in the body, it is very dangerous to use them in combination💀
