🚬Edibles/drinkables are the least harmful way to consume cannabis. Vaping cannabis resin is less harmful than smoking cannabis. Smoking is the most harmful way to consume Cannabis. There isn’t research available yet to determine whether smoking flower or dabs/resin is more harmful. It is important to note that edibles and drinkables have a delayed onset of 20-120 minutes or more, which makes them very easy to over-consume. This can cause the user to “green out.” Symptoms of greening out include nausea, vomiting, and anxiety that typically subside within a few hours🍵🍪
Frequently smoking cannabis is correlated with respiratory dysfunction. Symptoms of respiratory dysfunction include shortness of breath, wheezing, and coughing. Cannabis-induced respiratory dysfunction usually resolves itself once the person stops smoking for a period of time, typically a few weeks to a few months👍
🧬Cannabis has properties that have been shown to kill tumor cells in different types of cancers. However, inhaling any form of smoke may increase risk of cancer. Again, this makes eating or drinking cannabis the safest method of consumption🧪
📈Heavy use of cannabis (in frequency and/or high THC content) during adolescence is associated with higher likelihood of developing addictions, depression, and psychotic symptoms. Regular cannabis use is also associated with impaired sleep, attention, memory formation, self-control, and motor skills. Earlier age of cannabis use and more frequent use are strongly associated with an increased likelihood of long-term
